> On multiple occasions a family member's employees (or they, themselves) have had a DD delivery driver cut to the front of the line, interrupt the cashier, and shove their phone in their face. No words, no anything, just "here is the code/screen/whatever I need to show you to pick up the order". DD doesn't let stores rate delivery drivers so there isn't any recourse.

That's exactly what it's like in NYC. They just walk up with their huge backpacks straight to the front skipping everyone, turn around bumping people, show their phone, then stand RIGHT in the front as-if no one else exists. It's awful.

I'd love to contribute to a no-delivery store. Pickup or dine-in only.

Edit: Might have to re-think Pickup because that would just become a loophole for delivery. Maybe orders have to be placed in-store for to go.

How do you get 1 day of usage with Astra?

I create a lot, but I can make a full month with Astra on the current Pro plan. What are you doing to spend that much?

It's been like this a long time. Kickstarter was just a platform to test product viability and public response for the big guys.

I'd always been amazed over the years by how many people didn't even attempt CSS. They looked at it like an after thought. Reminds me of a favorite Archer quote: "I thought we skipped that step.", "Skipped a step... in bomb defusal...?"

For real. It's always a headscratcher when I see these weird takes against it.

Amazon has been working with Anthropic which at the very least will create a much more comprehensive Alexa.

> expensive talking fidget spinners

Like Alexa, Siri, and Hey Google? Which are used A LOT and will only be used more when they're natural, smarter, and conversational?

Always a strange take.

Hopefully React and Tailwind usage will fall off

> much investment and little return, and no obvious large-scale product-market fit, much less a superintelligence.

I'm always blown away when I see comments like this.

It just makes me think the people that say this either work for a competitor or simply haven't used their products.

The things that OpenAI and similar companies have created are literally revolutionary. It's insane. Pretending it's "little return" is a very strange opinion.
