I'm a generic geek and an ex-messenger with a PhD in ultrahigh resolution tomography. I love the outdoors, taking photos and much more than it's possible to pack into two sentences.

https://every-door.app/ is very usable for quick edits, Go Map!! has a steeper learning curve.

Are you aware of https://mapcomplete.org/ ? Web-based and thematically focused.

Yes, you can do that, but the use-case here is different.

We collaboratively wrote some code that we want/have to submit to a journal for a manuscript. The journal wants to have an anonymized version of the code. Since the code contains comments with the name of collaborators and other identifying data (drive name, etc.) that has to be anonymized for the submission (and will be open eventually), we can `sed` all this out, but this service does that automatically, with a nice web-view of the code like GitHub.

Not mine, but found that via a search engine. I had to submit code to a journal doing double-blind review, this site made that easily possible.

> However I ran into two things that have no formal tags:

You can use https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Any_tags_you_like on OpenStreetMap. Many of the used tags are simply "in use" and not formalized with a proposal.

Looking good and fun. As an avid OpenStreetMap contributor I'm a bit bummed that you're calling this "Google Maps and Need for Speed".

Also they don't show the necessary OpenStreetMap attribution anywhere...
