Yes, you can do that, but the use-case here is different.
We collaboratively wrote some code that we want/have to submit to a journal for a manuscript.
The journal wants to have an anonymized version of the code.
Since the code contains comments with the name of collaborators and other identifying data (drive name, etc.) that has to be anonymized for the submission (and will be open eventually), we can `sed` all this out, but this service does that automatically, with a nice web-view of the code like GitHub.
