Love to hear that!

> Do you summarize the session, or convert it to the target harness's native format?

We convert to the native format. Our goal is to capture and convert as much data as we can.

> Is there a way to delete sessions, or exclude some from being stored in the first place?

Not currently, but we will have this very soon! I want to make sure it’s very clear to use and can be configured for a broad range of uses

If you give it a try, please let me know if you have any feedback or issues <3

(hi! I worked a lot on atuin desktop)

we saw a bunch of issues with desktop, in no particular order

1. authoring runbooks is difficult, most people barely document their work let alone make it executable

2. keeping runbooks up to date is difficult, they are error-prone across systems

3. agents are now pretty good at a number of the tasks these ideas solve for, and are good at working around issues caused by docs becoming out of date/etc

all these tools are great for your own notes, but are very difficult to scale

we actually have an mcp built on top of this that you can use, no problem!

Ahh yes, we’ve done a lot of performance optimisation since then. We regularly test on >1m records and have no issues

Make sure you’re using the daemon (the install script will handle this) and you should be good to go

Very happy to help if you have any problems. Ellie at Atuin dot sh

Personally I have never been bothered by programs using my home folder. I don’t regularly ls the contents of it, and just browse by path from my shell anyway, so the clutter is barely visible to me

sure, but with unsafe Rust you have a very clear marking for the section of code that requires additional care and attention. it is also customary to include a "SAFETY" comment outlining why using unsafe is OK here

I wish it was easier to know which projects are in desperate need of funding because I love pgbackrest and totally would have donated here, and I suspect many others would have too :/
