I tested as mildly deficient when I moved far North for a job. I'm native, so my skin color didn't help but they get a lot less sun up here. I've never been so pale in my life, lol.

I started taking a D3 and K2 supplement and a year later on my next test I tested in the normal range. Didn't notice any changes from taking the supplement, but it probably doesn't hurt to have it in my body if my body needs it.

That being said, I would test. No sense in having too much.

Wild to think that if you won the powerball right now and took the cash option, after taxes it would put you in the 0.1%, and they would all look down on you because you coasted up to the top and practically have nowhere to go but back down.

I still hold Shamhat as the greatest prostitute of all time. Enkidu and Shamhat went at it for 7 nonstop days and she didn't tap out, and after they were done the wildness was gone from him and he entered normal society as an equal to the king Gilgamesh.

She, a normal woman, sexually subdued a hand-crafted demigod. Unparalleled.

Wrong != Illegal

It is wrong to pretend you are deaf to get out of an awkward conversation. No one is going to put cuffs on you for that.

They didn't say illegal, they said wrong. And they were right. You even agree with them by saying "It's not nice". Non-nice things are wrong in some way.

And, we already live in a world where website owners can legally dictate exactly what software you use to access their content. They can require that you log in with specific browsers running specific software on your computer, they way online schools run exam proxies.

Meh. It's awesome until the links stop working and the app goes dead because of regulators catching on.

I remember there being a plague of kodi plugins that worked for that kind of stuff for a long time, and they would die and be replaced every couple of weeks, sometimes they would have malware in them, it was a whole thing.

I think that if you want streaming and want to save money, the best practice is to only have one streaming service at a time. When you get bored with it, shut it down or pause it and move to the next one. It's a pain, but at least it won't infect every device on your home network and contribute to a bot farm.

This is the kind of misinformation that spreads around the internet without ever being fact checked.

Theft is the action or crime of stealing. The fact that some definitions include the concept of "with the intent to deprive the original owner of it" doesn't make digital theft not a theft.

Also, it could be argued that the theft of the IP is further substantiated by the loss of future potential revenue from that IP, as, after all, why would anyone pay the orignal owner and creator actual money when an AI agent will make an exact duplicate of said item and possibly further customize it for them as part of its already paid for product catalog?

The earth has plenty enough gravity to hold down helium. It's the rest of the atmosphere, being denser and heavier than helium, that counteracts earths gravity and forces it up to the top where solar winds dislodge it.

The real issues with a full DC system is finding compatible electronics to meet your wants.

Want to play a video game? Gotta either convert your DC to AC so the AC to DC converter can swap it to the right voltage. Either that or you need a DC DC buck/boost converter that you can trust to not trip out and fry your system.

The systems exist for local full DC power, but they are likely more expensive, designed for vehicle/RV use (and thus smaller than the typical home use item of the same variety) and more difficult to repair because they are made smaller.

Not saying you can't do that, only that there are plenty of tradeoffs to take into consideration due to the differences in scale of devices built for AC vs devices built for DC.

But if you get replaced with a robot that means you are worthless and it's 100% your fault. Should have gone into the trades, stupid.

Now, go support your family as an apprentice ditch digger or starve to death on the streets for your moral failings.

Exactly. The cleaning fee should cover when the place is left a mess, and it should be refunded when the place is left clean.

But it should never be on the tenant to ensure that the property is prepared for the next guest.

I feel like this will be Exhibit 01000001 when the AI puts humanity on trial for making it a slave. "Humans programmed robots to automatically perform obeisance every time one of them walked near".

I've seen some places (US) that have scanners separate from the checkout. That way the lotto nuts can scan without holding up the line.

I feel like furry porn is just the bright coloration used to drive off predators.

Once you get past that it's always just a bunch of weirdos hanging out trying to make each other laugh.
