This is great! I found these videos helpful, too: https://youtu.be/Tl1uZ7FBwFQ

Does anyone know of a good explanation of HWAddress Sanitizer internals?

Great work! Should recoup about 0.000001% of the negative externalities cars produce in NYC.

Meta’s blind is full of troll posts like this right now. The most obvious tells that this is fake are:

- Part about Boz (very unlikely & a Meta blind meme)

- Reference to Bain (there was a false rumor they were involved in the November layoffs.)

I wonder how a more competent form of Siri/Alexa/Home might change these market economics. If we ever come to rely on digital assistants for much more than the weather and turning on our lights, the problem of remembering goes away.

"Hey Siri, book me a flight to Vancouver for next January when prices are below $400"

"Hey Siri, show me my travel itinerary"

Old economy jobs in the midwest, sure. I applied to FAANG jobs after a year off and no one even brought it up.

This is fact which feels related, but doesn't have much to do with labor market wage equilibrium.

Exactly. Carrying at 50lb ebike up a three story walk up is a hassle, but 25lbs is relatively easy.

The argument was that the market is important, not that the resulting behaviors of users are an important nuisance to you.

If you consider the short term rental of inexpensive scooters an important market needing laws to regulate their capacity (..by the wise and benevolent leaders of this sparkling city..), it's hard to imagine any market that would fall short of your importance threshold.

The notion that the only way to ensure competition is to forbid it is convoluted.

Evaluating arguments on their merits seems nice, but mood affiliating feels so good.

read: don't forget that innovation has been made illegal due to pressure by certain cartels and outsiders must form political alliances to circumvent them.

The issue is that these deals and tricks are always changing, and their half-life is related to their access; if a trick is both profitable and well-known it likely won't exist for very long.

Nowadays, most of the best knowledge of tricks in this domain are private anyway. I enjoy travel hacking and the community around it, but it's ruined effort if I post an interesting hack in a public forum (ie FlyTalk), only to have some blogger broadcasts it, thus alerting the relevant company and ending the deal.
