Added 10 new fighters all based on classic monster characters. If you liked Mike Tyson's punchout, this should be fun.

Those are the only two options of course!

I'm a little in the middle, I was always really good at programming, it just clicked for me. As a physicist, I could see that I was OK at the math and physics but excelled at the programming piece. At the same time, I never really cared much about the art of programming itself. It still was a means to an end. I know that does make it so I can't totally empathize with engineers who just love the art of programming and the existential fear they might be feeling with the looming AI takeover.

Sewing had been a relevant skill for 10s of thousands of years. Programming has been relevant for 10s of years.

I am a big Mike Tyson's Punchout fan back in the day. I've only ever made one really crappy game in the past that I never released and yes I used AI heavily on this game. I keep NOT putting this out in public, so I am doing it now rather than what likely would be never. Hope you like the game, would love feedback on the gameplay and any bugs or suggesitons.

It's pretty difficult on a mobile browser btw. You can play it but it's tough to defeat some of the opponents. There is controller support for those that partake.

The story is pretty thin, just thought about fighting all the people in my company made me laugh.

Underwater cables have been one of the more awe inspiring things for me. I know nothing about them but they seem SO crazy and yet we have them running all across the oceans. .·°՞( ̑ ᗜ ̑ )՞°·.

What do you think they should have called it? Any suggestion that is an unfamiliar term would mean that almost nobody would have clicked on the link and therefore it would not have risen to the top of HN and therefore none of us would even know this exists. I think I think I can accept a loose definition of ASCII art for actually being able to see this page.

100% I have been a "party thrower" for years and it is obvious that the bulk of our friend group never hosts an event. I think this is probably the way it's been with humans for a long time though. It is an interesting observation.

>We’ve had to know everything about the product/business from day 1

I know this is being hyperbolic but I thought this was an odd post to include. I've met plenty of data engineers that don't have great knowledge of the business/product and SWEs that do have that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I initially read the title as 55,000 one pound stones. I was thinking, huh that does seem like a lot of work. (>▽<)

Which he talks about in the article of course.
