Apple/Google has effectively made notification worthless because they allow services to abuse notifications. I wish they respected my time/attention more.

Your first gripe kind of sounds like DLP software is installed on the system and it is scanning files you're "accessing".

Depends on where you live. I live in the sticks. 2 hour rides to the store on a windy road isn't really viable.

Moreover, time is a limited resource. Even adding 15 minutes here and there take away time I would have to spend with family, work on a project, etc.

I don’t buy that for a second. Governments always want more control, and this is just another way for them to get it.

It wasn't incompetence, it was greed. They said "no new training for pilots" in order to keep sales volume up and to ensure no new training they kept the MCAS system a secret from pilots.

Think of the shareholders though /s

In all seriousness though, what can be done? It appears that Boeing has to much power in their relationship with the FAA.
