I got laid off, then got tonsillitis which turned into quinsy. Three days in hospital, then got Bells Palsy. I’m meant to be resting and recovering but the job search is always on my mind. Not doing great.

This is all good but how do you deal with someone that just wants to win and not discuss?

I just got this back and it’s hilarious:

Spatula and a Spoon: The second way is by using a spatula and a spoon. The doctor would use the spatula to gently lift the appendix out of the belly, and then use the spoon to scoop it out.

Excellent prompt work Sir

Can you please give a short summary of why I should give C#/.NET a go for my backend services?

I've been fighting battles in Python backend services to get a nicely decoupled API, logic and DB layers for a while...but sqlalchelmy, alembic and flask/django/fastAPI are my safety blankets

The only people I hear talking seriously about Web3 are non-tech people. The tech people I know all seem to collectively think its BS.

It's a cool marketing phrase that probably won't come to anything. I'd be happy to be proven wrong though as web evolution will always be interesting.

If the debt's interest rate is low (as it is in many situations where spreadsheets are used for long periods of time), then you might never need to get rid of it. If it has a high interest rate (not scaling or working well given the current work load), then it's time to move over to specialized software.

The idea of ‘interest’ on tech debt is awesome. Never heard of it before and will be using this in the future. Thanks!

The point would be that the commute would be no more than 15 minutes to your office. Ideally walking distance
