Lead iOS Engineer with 12+ years of experience building and modernizing native Apple-platform applications, including work on Chick-fil-A, Walgreens, and other large consumer apps. I enjoy tackling difficult technical problems and improving the tools and practices that make engineering teams more effective. Recent work includes eliminating thousands of production crashes, improving build reproducibility across an iOS organization of tens of engineers, and developing reusable SwiftUI components and tooling.

More recently, I've been focused on harnessing AI to improve software engineering workflows, including integrating Firebase, Proxyman, and Xcode MCP servers to enable agent-assisted debugging, implementation, and verification. I also build independent products, including Explore Michigan (https://goexploremichigan.com) and Park Guide (https://park-guide.com, under development). Looking for a fully remote Senior, Lead, or Staff iOS engineering role with strong engineering standards, autonomy, and a team that values collaboration and continuous improvement.

---

Senior/Lead iOS engineer with 10+ years of experience. I'm primarily looking for a great team: talented people, high engineering standards, meaningful autonomy, and an environment that's enjoyable to work in. I enjoy making good software with great people.

Recent work I've done includes modernizing a Top 100 App Store application with SwiftUI and Swift concurrency, driving strict-concurrency adoption ahead of Swift 6, cutting build times by ~50%, and eliminating production Core Data concurrency crashes. I enjoy architecture, platform/foundation work, developer tooling, and difficult technical problems while staying hands-on.

I've spent the past year and a half incorporating agentic coding tools deeply into my engineering workflow, and I'm especially interested in working on a team that see these tools as an important part of modern software development.

This was probably my mistake. This is the first time I've ever done this so I just set up an account like a regular user. I didn't figure out how to link it with my Meta Business Suite until it was too late.

1000% this. The App Store is stagnant because Apple refuses to improve their store to where developers choose to distribute their app on the App Store. 30% may have made sense in 2008, but it certainly doesn’t make any sense in 2020.

I sent an email to their support team asking if they had plans to open source their apps and they said, "there are no plans".

It's hard to believe they weren't acquired. The amount of driving data they have must be huge.

I have used EveryDollar (everydollar.com) for the past year and it really helps me track spending. They have a plus version that only works with US banks but I have used the free version for a while now.
