We built this presentation extension of our open-source charting tool ipyvizzu (https://github.com/vizzuhq/ipyvizzu) because we learnt from the interviews and feedback from data scientists that they struggle with presenting and sharing the results of their analysis with less tech savvy people.

Here's a live example: https://vizzuhq.github.io/ipyvizzu-story/examples/demo/ipyvi...

What do you think?

Hey HN, CodeViz Stat is an open-source tool that automatically visualizes the contents of a software project in VSCode. It's built as an example of what our open-source library Vizzu (https://github.com/vizzuhq/vizzu-lib) can be used for.

It's convenient to get a quick overview of your project and then dig deeper into a subfolder while keeping the context. It also comes in handy when you want to show your code to a new developer.

Here's an online example: https://vizzuhq.github.io/codeviz/

CodeViz Stat is built on top of Kentaro Usiyama's great VS Code Counter (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=uctakeof...).

What do you think? How should we improve it?

Hey HN, We built this little open-source tool that automatically visualizes the contents of a software project in Visual Studio Code. We think it's a good example of what our open-source viz library Vizzu (https://github.com/vizzuhq/vizzu-lib) can be used for.

Key features of CodeViz Stat: - Shows file count and line count in total and by programming languages. - Allows navigation within the project folders, filtering the visualized data accordingly. - Shows a tooltip with details on mouseover.

CodeViz Stat is built on top of Kentaro Usiyama's great VS Code Counter (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=uctakeof...).

Happy to hear any feedback! Let me know what you think!
