Are remote opportunities open to Canadians?

This is the first new app I have downloaded in a long time, it is a lot of fun!

In addition to what the offer recommended in the "Scheduling work" section, using the `:timer.send_interval()` can be useful if you want to do something every X seconds, instead of every X + Y seconds, where Y is the time it takes to process the "work" message.

Also I prefer to use `handle_continue` instead of `schedule_work()` style (which in a lot of cases pre-date the introduction of `handle_continue`).

Thanks!

I want to build my own electric car, well, convert an ICE car to an electric one. I have the fabrication skills but I want to learn more about of the _electric_ stuff (the motor, AC vs DC, the controller, differences in batteries, etc). Does anyone have a good resource for that?

It would be great if more people did this. In my opinion, air travel is pretty low hanging fruit when it comes reducing personal carbon footprints. I'll spend some time closer to home rather than hopping across the ocean/continent for every vacation.

Cool! I don't know much about bird conservation efforts but it is encouraging that we are having success in some areas.

(serious) Is there any hope? Its just one problem after another (probably because everything is linked).

What are the chances that we will get our act together or be able to engineer ourselves out of all of these problems?

A resource for finding jobs for "green" companies would be great. At least here in Canada, my searches that intersect "software" with "green"/"renewable"/"wind"/etc yield next to nothing.

Tagging onto this to see if anyone knows of resources for jobs in Canada. I search every once in awhile for those key terms but finding an intersection with software jobs yields basically nothing.
