Hi!

In the age of security incidents, I figured we need to be more careful with how we treat secrets in our clipboard.

So I built ClipAudit:

- It automatically detects 713 types of API keys and secrets and conceals them from other apps that read your clipboard in under <1ms.

- Detect and scrubs secrets out of your shell history (bash, zsh, etc.).

- Secrets in your clipboard will auto-clear after 90s, and accessing them again requires Touch ID.

- Everything is 100% offline, on-device processing, and encrypted with macOS Keychain.

ClipAudit is also a fully featured clipboard manager, so now I replace Alfred / Raycast with this!

Please check it out and let me know what you think!

I do copy from LLM output to send to human but they are all legitimate use cases:

Example: “[attach screenshot] create an answer to this customer based on what you know about the product, check the pricing detail for self-host plan”

Or sometimes: “check the codebase to find the default value of this configuration and create a reply to this customer”

Writing the last chapter of my book myindiebook.com for the official release in July.

It's the story of how I quit my job ($100k/year) with no experience, foundation or advantage to build a profitable one-man business 3 years later.

If you have an API key, using Opus with a 3rd party UI like typingmind.com solves all of the problems you mentioned (disclaimer: I'm the app developer)

Quick question: do you offer API? I'm hoping to integrate this with an existing chat UI that I have.

Hi Hn,

I built this app. Not sure how it would be useful yet but I have a lot of fun building it.

Would love any feedback!

Maybe I'm old, but I can't see any reasons why this is better after looking at the before/after example. This is adding unnecessary complexity with very little benefit (if at all).

If anything, the "try...catch" example actually look clearer and better than "!user.ok".
