What is the difference between saying that the brain is two organs, as in the title, or a "composite organ" as in the actual paper? What makes an organ a single autonomous organ?

This may not have much practical consequence, but still there's some symbolic value which is welcomed in today's geopolitical climate.

It should be "novus ludus" not "nova ludus". (now go and write 100 times...)
