Except “my Mac’s very secure and I can install whatever I want” is a complete fallacy. It isn’t secure - case in point Muse recently trawling through people’s messages. Or Mac cleaner like apps that trick users into installing them and giving liberal access.

I think if you don’t get the point of protecting a device against the user, you’ve not had to help un-tech savvy relatives get out of situations where dark or confusing UI practices have got themselves into a mess.

Users on Reddit are reporting being unable to view their order history; and I’m personally getting a 500 error when I try to make an order

It will be interesting to see if they blame humans or AI this time

1. Announce price increase generating bad publicity.

2. Kill bad publicity with blog pretending to be understanding and taking on feedback while "pausing" the increase.

3. Implement price increase a few months later when the bad publicity wave is over, and its old news so wont generate new headlines.

This can be done on UniFi using policy based routing too trivially if anyone wants to repeat this.

Instructions using the unifi mobile app as it’s what I have to hand:

1) download wireguard conf file from vpn provider. On mobile app settings -> vpn client -> add new -> wireguard. Upload the file and save it

2) settings -> policy engine -> policy based routes. New. Select what to route -> specific traffic. Source = all devices. destination = domain name. Here add any domains you like. Interface = add the vpn you added in step 1
