Interesting that you picked one from the “B” words..

My kids watch streamers on YouTube and the common replacement is “frick”. It’s said so often that they started using it saying things like “what the frick!?” so I had to explain to them that’s essentially the same as using the real word.

Would you say the same thing if we're talking about caffeine? I know many productive members of society that spend all day drinking coffee. They would even suffer actual withdrawal symptoms if they tried to stop.

I found that with the pens/oil I have no self restraint. It's just too convenient and easy to take a quick puff anytime I would feel stressed, bored, etc. Whenever I get an oil cartridge I smoke it every day until it's gone.

Lately I switched to gummies only. It helps because I need to be more deliberate. For me they take an hour to kick in and last a few hours after that, so I know I'm making a conscience choice of whether or not I want to be stoned for the next few hour.

It looks like where you went wrong was replying with a screenshot of your calendar. That and the likely passive aggressive text accompanying it was probably a red flag for Jacob. The fact that you posted this drivel vindicates him.

I actually enjoy my commute. About 30-35 minutes each way. Gives me time to listen to a podcast and mentally separate my work and home lives.

This is an excellent analogy. I've been struggling to understand why I feel like I'm one of the minority that (like OP) isn't really in love with WFH. You just described my motivation in one simple sentence.

Why would you find it hard to believe Joe Rogan has an actual registered nurse RN working for him? Not like he can't afford one.

My wife currently works as a nurse at a hospital. She's tired of the poor working conditions at the hospital so she's applying to work at an infusion center for better hours and pay.

I learned this when I dated a law student while in college. They teach an entire class to the first year students dedicated to presenting the facts of the case, the way lawyers do in their opening statements. They actually had to create the set of facts for each side. It was really interesting how you could totally bias it by what you emphasized or left out and the different words used (i.e. word connotations).

Great reply. I agree that the writing in the post is excellent. While we're giving constructive feedback I'd add this sentence:

> I cover tech here in Brazil for +10 years and run a +9 years old independent,

It should be past tense "I've covered", and in English we do everything backwards so 10+ and 9+ are more natural. So I'd change that to:

I've covered tech here in Brazil for 10+ years and run a 9+ years old independent,

Well you no longer have to pay the lamplighter, milkman, weekly blockbuster rentals, etc.

Post says "battery prices" so I assume that is for the material costs only. I expect labor costs to be a significant adder. It seems replacing an EV's battery would be similar in scope to replacing an ICE car's engine.

That is cute. Like a story I heard about a kid that thought WTF stood for "Wow, that's funny".
