Congrats on the launch!

Some questions are top of mind after having done POCs and trials with other companies that have products in this space (excuse me if they are answered somewhere obvious - I skimmed the site and your post before drafting this):

1. What is vendor lock-in like with Momentic? In my mind there's space for a mature QA platform that agentically generates and maintains playwright/similar tests, but perhaps I'm wrong.

1.b. will Momentic code or testing standard or some aspect be open enough that it is feasible to move away from it if needed, or continue using it if Momentic goes under/deploys major breaking changes?

2. How deterministic are Momentic tests?

3. Who is your target user? Product owner / developer / SDET / ?

----

Also - is this saying Codex is better and cheaper than Mo?

"... though Codex is a bit more precise at 86% vs 84%. The tradeoff is cost: Mo costs $2.67 per bug vs $0.80 for Codex, less than Claude Code and Devin."

Was going to say this article doesn't seem to mention the full-body scanners at the airport that I believe flight crews also need to go through... but apparently these days most of these don't use x-rays and rather use radio waves. Interesting!

Hm wondering what a first pass optimal setup might be - jev for overworld navigation, escalate to sonnet for easy battles, opus for medium difficulty battles, and fable for gym bosses could probably have jev also manage all the escalation / de-escalation to different models.

Think most people are aware of the phrase "pace yourself".

I mostly just want UI icons that make sense. The LibreOffice icons all look samey to me, can never find what I'm looking for.

Was enjoying the article and then around half way through they try to force you to sign up to continue reading. Nah not tonight unfortunately.

A bit dark pattern-y.

Very cool idea.

Don't think I can go all-in on something like this without some way to guarantee I don't lose all my saved stuff - perhaps a way to sync to a cloud storage service, or at least an easy way to export everything manually to a file?

It will be - see Eric's responses here https://github.com/coredevices/mobileapp/issues/270

I am very keen to use the PT2 version. Don't need a dedicated ring.

I believe Simon also tests other things that are not as public.

I do think there's something to be said for the big difference in the current abstraction layer jump - the loss of determinism. It is meaningfully different.

My TV was cheap so I didn't expect much. Steam link really struggles on it - thankfully I still have the old Steam Link hardware and it works alright. Locked to 1080p though.

Refused to spend more on a TV because I feel you don't get much more processing power for an increase in price. All smart TVs I've interacted with in the last 5 years have been much slower than I would consider acceptable.

How many books do you want to fit on that thing? :o

We've been quite impressed with GCP Document AI. Not sure if it has a free tier but perhaps that's where Google is putting all the good OCR.
