I think the U.S. needs to finally adopt the ERA into its constitution. Many people don’t realize that women still don’t have equal protection under the constitution in the U.S. It’s absurd in my opinion.

Literate Programming would also probably help coding assistants understand the code better and generate better output. Or is that the point you are trying to make?

Are you disputing the veracity of any of the quotes on that page? Alex Jones doesn't provide citations or is interested in facts.

In the "bad old days", tables were abused to build page layouts. There were all sorts of problems with this due to weird rendering rules within table cells and the table itself. Some people piled onto the "omg tables are so bad" fever without properly acknowledging that they are still the best way to display tabular data - their original purpose.

I love reading this for the eloquent, antiquated style of the prose. The part where he writes about experimentally detecting four dimensional space by the behavior of matter was interesting - I’ve never read anything like that before.

Corporations aren't democratic organizations though so every individual in the group doesn't really have an equal access to these rights.

Thanks, yep - I had lunch with Dan last week. I understand, I have a half-dozen coding projects that I’ve got in various stages of (in-)completion.

Hey Doug, it’s Avi Eisner - long time no see! Dan told me you’re working on your own game engine - would love to see it some time and catch up!

I’ve worked at many places from ~5-10 employee startups or design studios to mega-corporations with thousands of employees. I’ve only had one boss that I would consider “bad”. And I think that was mostly due to the culture of the company he worked at previously- Amazon. I do think businesses of all sizes are too hierarchical. I would like to try working for a co-op or cooperative or staring my own one day.
