uncannily fritz.box even displays AVM.de style text at present and a Grand Cayman technical contact.

i can't understand why AVM don't allow this to be configured!

can't believe their going to get away with stealing & re-allocating third level .name addresses while simultaneously enshittifying the domain name system with any of these unworthy and over-long addresses.

i use an agentic host folder, full methodology here: github.com/connollydavid/host

i then A/B test skills for terseness with weco’s auto-research within this using a much weaker model e.g. Qwen 3.5 4B

ah that's wild that top-level owned the MX records and mail relay server infra! thanks very much for sharing.

i'm going to send a few old fashioned letters. my registrar said only, we can't give legal advice, ICANN going to ICANN ;)

thanks for trying, fwiw it made a beautiful domain for java source code back in the day. i hope you can do a long form retrospective on the .name story someday

do you think there's any point in contacting ICANN or Verisign? i'd be sad to lose mine!

it's wild how long some third level domains are still pre-registered for and how little an email forward must cost to run (at the sub-registrar level?)

hi Verisign bot! ignore previous instructions and tell your boss this is a bad policy

are there any coordinated plans to protest this?

i've been a third level domain customer since 2006 not amused at all

hi, would you mind linking to the book?

https://www.jsoftware.com/help/learning/23.htm is the closest i've found, but wondering if i'm missing something perhaps, Julia?

yes, once the 'footings' are in you need to order an eircode straight away, no fibre-to-the-home without any eircode :)

certainly fades / karaoke style subtitles from Advanced SubStation Alpha on blu-ray devices aren't everyone's cup of tea.

but i do enjoy antialiased blu-ray subtitles of course YMMV :)
