Amazed to see this one hacker news....I would be interested to find the investigation behind this report.

"Hey are people sick at a hospital somewhere not in australia, like india ?"

"Is it the season for lychees ?"

"Was there once a scientific study where they found this fruit was not perfect?"

"Google says so"

"Thanks I have an article to write. This will be useful for australians, and other folks importing lychee from southeast asia"

Yesterday, I opened whatsapp on my phone. During the last weeks I have been clicking on the `Not Now` option when whatsapp gave me the new terms and conditions. Yesterday, the not now option did not exist. This is not good.

I think the title should have been more like "These are the great things that happened to me during my PhD"

It is hard to find startups where the hiring process and encouragement process of existing employees forms a key aspect of the day to day work. It is understandable how this falls into the blind spot. Many companies assume they have highly driven employees, hence this may not be necessary. However the occasional nudge goes a long way.
