>Lula went on national television and said he's going to end police in reply to Bolsonaro vowing to classify the drug traffickers as narcoterrorists.

Without knowing much about Brazilian politics, all I can say is that I strongly doubt this. And at least a quick Google AI question suggests that your statement is not just off but completely false.

Funny, that sounds exactly like what an American right-winger would say about Biden in 2024.

I guess Brazil is about to experience a shit-show similar to what the US is going through now, then. Not much hope left anywhere.

The only thing predictable about him is his unpredictability so there is no money to be made there. That doesn't make GP wrong though.

Sigh, it's pretty depressing to have to read stuff like this on a place like HN that is otherwise pretty informed and mature.

>Officially this was done out of concern for the safety of the French citizens.

Gambling regulations exist in most places in the world, including the US. With good reason.

Inflexibility was not the reason for Brexit. It happened because the British population was tricked by being fed misinformation about the EU for years by people like Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson. Little things like "The EU bans bendy bananas" to big things like "Turkey is going to join any day!"

>If nobody was trusting the country, the economy would collapse.

Trust is a complex term. You can work and trade with parties you don't trust, like so many countries do already. But a process has definitely begun, and it will without any doubt have very real implications for the US.

>Nobody takes the Greenland thing seriously already

I can assure you that Denmark still takes this thing extremely seriously.

The Hunter corruption scandal is to the current administration as a drop of water is to a swimming pool. But I have no doubt that you can go on.

>Anything political, I always go to Grok first.

Why would you talk to an LLM about anything political?

With that line of thinking, you can attribute any ideology to a time period and declare it invalid today.

Professor Jason Stanley who has written two books about the topic calls the current US administration fascist. Similar with professor Timothy Snyder and I think several other respected historians.
