In my case I kept the MVP private and only invited colleagues I know, mostly solo practitioners and owners of small consulting firms. If it works for them, they bring in other people with the same problem, which for me is the best sign of real demand. The feedback from them has also helped me make better decisions.

For me, it's Daniel Kahneman and Gerd Gigerenzer.

Exactly. I don’t think there’s an easy fix. Maybe we just need less noise, not more automation.

But when you run into a problem, sometimes the best thing to do is build the solution yourself. A lot of indie products started exactly this way.

I’ve had similar experiences with freelance platforms, and as a client, I can confirm what you’re saying. I felt like I was being flooded from all sides, which made the whole experience less enjoyable and made it harder to trust the process. IMHO, the old freelance marketplace model is broken.

For me, a real gem though I don't usually recommend it since it's only in Italian is Decalogo della complessità by Alberto Felice De Toni.

And the other one was Thinking, Fast and Slow by psychologist Daniel Kahneman.

I understand perhaps with the validation of the identity of each user or something similar to a KYC. This would imply the handling of personal data in addition to all the legal barriers that such a measure would entail.

Maybe I can give you something from my experience. Basically, I focused on getting to know my clients better before proposing the product to them, and then in a clear and concise way, I explained to them how my product would add long-term value, scalability, and how it would address the changing needs of their companies.

In my humble opinion, the best approach depends on your specific circumstances, the employee's willingness to learn, and your company's culture. It's a complex situation, but with open communication, a commitment to support, and a clear plan, you may be able to salvage the situation and help this employee develop into a valuable asset for your team.

Finding a problem worth solving is indeed a crucial step in starting a successful business, especially in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. In the end, I think combining technology-driven insights with your own experiences and insights can lead to the discovery of meaningful problems to solve.

It's understandable that you're feeling stuck in a loop. Remember, you're not alone in this journey, many programmers face similar challenges. By focusing on your strengths, practicing your skills, and staying persistent, you can break out of the learning loop and achieve your career goals.

Distraction is a common challenge that many people face. There are several reasons behind why you might be feeling distracted, such as multitasking, environmental factors, or even underlying stress or anxiety. A formula I usually apply is defining what I want to achieve and dividing it into smaller, more manageable tasks. This helps me stay focused and gives me a sense of accomplishment as I complete each step. I hope this formula also works for you.

With $1 million, I would first ensure that my family's financial future is secure by paying off any outstanding debts and investing in their well-being. After that, I would set aside a portion of the money for personal savings and investments to generate passive income. Finally, I would invest in my own personal growth by pursuing educational and entrepreneurial opportunities that I'm passionate about.
