> I am capable of paying the AI provider myself.

If that was true then slack, linear, … would be out of business.

Yes, anyone can pay the provider, but not everyone can ask the right questions, followup, generally give the question the attention it deserves.

There are heaps of problems with academia, and poor writing is just one of them. It existed pre AI. Whoever produced slop pre-AI now produces more of it. The good ones still stand out.

thanks for the recommendation, i was a bit skeptical because i wasn't happy with the firefox ui/ux and i had a vague recollection it destroy battery life

nevertheless, i've installed zen on a modern mbp pro and so far really like it

the biggest miss is the little arc (there's the glance feature, but it only works when navigating from within existing pages)

i don't miss ai crap at all -- i'm an AI pilled SWE, but claude code/t3 (with their build it browsers) + grok-bot style agent cover all the bases for me

will try to keep it for a week and see

the op was from sweden, not bosnia though; and surely if there's no impact of the trade war and tariffs why to put them up in the first place?

What's a good RSS service / client nowadays?

For me it works well for agentic coding tasks and terminal/unix/bash (in cursor and grok build); it's also token efficient and cheaper than gpt 5.6. It's def not as good as Fable for me (I haven't used Astra much, can't comment). So it's not the cheapest, not the most capable, but it has a good mix of it for my backend, go, infra work.

The voice is the same AI slop as the others imho.

(This is about Grok 4.6, I didn't test 4.7 yet).

edit: clarified I mean agentic coding tasks

the webpage fills vibecoded in the worst way tbh; i don't think that's attractive to the current gen of emacs users

maybe it targets net new users?

super interesting, i really wanted to try waymo but just never had the opportunity; maybe in Munich then

also, uber (in partnership with pony.ai and verne, a Croatian startup) launched robotaxis in Zagreb a week ago https://www.reuters.com/technology/uber-launches-autonomous-...

so waymo/Munich is in fact the second in the EU; also they are playing it safe

> In the coming weeks, you’ll start to see Waymo vehicles on the streets of Munich where we’ll begin driving manually across the city. We are taking a rigorous, phased approach that starts with high-definition mapping of local street networks and testing with trained autonomous specialists behind the wheel. This validation period will ensure the Waymo Driver adapts seamlessly to Munich’s distinct driving conditions before we aim to open commercial ride-hailing to the public towards the end of 2027.
