Hi Hacker News!

A month ago, we showed DJ Trump as a tool to make Trump say anything you type. It was fun, but many people mentioned that the videos sounded choppy.

We decided to pivot to focusing on making sure the videos can sound interesting and fun without expert editing. We added filters to create audio and visual effects that make Trump sound intoxicated or like Judge Dredd or Alvin and the Chipmunks.

We'd love to hear if there are any interesting filters you'd like to see added.

Thanks!

I applied a language processing algorithm to a bunch of his speeches, but then we had to manually hunt down words we considered high importance (names, curse words, etc.)

The LLC is for liability protection, though we did do a lot of research to make sure it wouldn't be a huge issue regardless

Thank you! Yes, the autocomplete is based on what words are available. The back-end is EC2 behind a load balancer with the media on S3

Great feedback! Yeah it's not a new page load when the video gets created, so I added a "Compose new Message" button, but it makes sense that people will want the back button to work as well. I'll do something about it, thanks!

Interesting -- great idea! I'll have to think about the right way to implement that.

Would love feedback on the usability of the autocomplete and whether the output quality is up to expectations! Also, does the splash page make sense? Thanks!

I won, and it said it was a tie. The board looked like:

o x x

o x o

o o x

Thanks! You can check out some of the savings we find on our recently searched savings tool here: http://www.cleverlayover.com/#monitor

It will show you a fresh list of savings available, and you can even filter the list by origin!

Hi HN,

I built this flight search engine three months ago and showed the first functionality here, which was to search for savings. We've since iterated and added a new functionality that allows you to search for an extended layover to enjoy and wanted to get your feedback on this new feature.

Right now, you can use the dropdown menu at the center of the page right below the large double-round image to select how many days you can want to stay at the layover location. We think this user interface can be improved, but we also don't want it to be too prominent as to be confusing to first-time users. Do you guys have any thoughts?

Very much appreciated!

Thanks, Phil
