I think they're referring to more fundamental things like math, language, etc...

A recipe book can have copyright because it's for the specific combination of recipes, layout, etc... Not for a recipe or more generally a recipe book.

I think that's consistent with his the supreme court ruled in Google v Oracle.

I agree. And you don't have to yell it.

And... Them stomping on you during an illegal search doesn't make it a legal one and doesn't shield them from liability.

Even in a legal search, I'm guessing they can't decide to curb stomp you just because without the risk of legal/other liability.

Huh, I though they did. But maybe I was wrong or they changed that.

There are, although you still have to find a lawyer to litigate them. Maybe less so than in other years, but in other cases, maybe more so.

If they have a warrant, they can search for stuff in that warrant.

If they don't, they can still do that, but anything they find will likely not be usable in court and you'll have a straightforward civil rights case.

And that they'll let you register even when connected to tor.

Your own property/server has 4th amendment protections, especially if it's in your house. Your use of someone else's machine doesn't, especially when they voluntarily give up your info.

You can also use proxys and/or tor to create external accounts/upload stuff.

I just asked my SO and she confirmed that "all y'all" means everyone within earshot and "y'all" usually means a specific group of people. She also said "y'all" is similar to "on" in French and "youse guys" in the NE.

I'm guessing it's regional and/or group specific.

The CPI has gone up far faster than real wages.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CPIAUCSL

People are earning about 12% more and working about 5% less since 1980, but everything costs roughly 3x what it did in 1980 relative to wages, and that's where most people are pinched.

Generally yes, but I think it's a lot more nuanced and varied than that.

My guess is that there are a large set of genetic, environmental, and idiopathic contributors that converge to a loosely similar phenotype, but couldn't be treated effectively in the same way because they have different sets of causes.

I think we'll eventually get to a point where we can treat many kinds of dementia in the same way we treat infections/etc... But it'll take a while.

They may be able to be prosecuted in foreign countries even with a pardon in the US. The US would need an extradition treaty with the country where they committed the crimes in some way and an administration willing to extradite them.

Or fund it fully through taxes, like roads, schools, etc...

It's a problem with the law too, but corporations still effectively shield individuals from criminal prosecution for things individuals would be prosecuted for by breaking up accountability among many different people/groups of people.
