Yes we can vibe code, but they all look the same and have no users.
The edge will be well thought through designs and experiences that keep users sticky.
We are yet to fully embrace wearables such as glasses and robotics. These will both create whole industries.
I am not worried about my job as long as I keep learning.
Nothing wrong with using Claude Code or Loveable but I am yet to see something truly beautiful and unique from them yet.
Built a product about 12 months ago, pivoted slightly about 6 months ago.
Had some decent traffic but it has been a serious grind.
I'm doing a few more tweaks to the product then I am going to leave it running in the background for a while.
I need to build something that solved a real genuine problem
Alterdd is building the fit intelligence layer for fashion. Currently, brands lack structured data on how their products actually fit real customers, making it a massively costly problem. We are fixing this by helping brands understand their fit so they can sell clothes that fit correctly the first time.
We are looking for our first technical hire to take full ownership of our engineering, moving our technology from prototype to production.
Why this role is interesting:
This is specifically designed as a bridge for a hungry Senior Engineer who is ready to step up into a Lead role. If you want the autonomy to build both the product and underlying systems from the ground up without waiting for direction, this is your shot to earn that Lead title. You will work directly with the founder with zero layers between idea and execution.
What you will do & stack:
- Design and build scalable systems across frontend, backend, and data layers. - Stack: Full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, Node, Python (or similar). - Data: PostgreSQL , building pipelines to ingest product feeds and fit data. - Integrations: Embedding our tech into e-commerce platforms like Shopify. You will need to design systems that handle highly inconsistent product and sizing data across different brands.
Working style & Interview: Hybrid working (2-3 days a week in person) in London or Cambridge. The interview process is fast and respects your time: one online technical interview, followed by one in-person interview with the founder.

Reminds me of the good old days of the internet.
I also migrated to Starlink recently and quite like the service so far.
I am sure there are others things but that was my first obvious thing.
Apple won't let OpenAI muscle in on the AirPod business.
