I love hosting, especially because I have invested a lot in my cooking skills. However, now inviting someone over means hosting an entire family and my job has evolved into cleaning, doing dishes, and prepping food, while everyone else is having the time of their life (we don't have a large space). Just not so enjoyable, so we have slowly stopped doing them and others rarely host them as well. An alternative is that we now do dinner picnics at the park, way more easier and no one is stuck doing hosting work.

Not sure this home math is right. Usually home builders are profit seekers, so if they build in a neighborhood of 1MM homes, they will price aggressively against those comps and quality. Let’s say a home goes for half price, then those homes will get snapped up and eventually everything resells closer to the true valve. Given real estate rarely drops a lot in value, that price might be a bit below 1MM.

No, because AI is still unprofitable and could even be called a speculative venture given the crazy spending amounts. Let the speculators take the risk and reap the rewards. When profitability and all the other conditions are met, I’m happy for the greater market to buy in at the price the market determines. I think everything is functioning as designed.
