OpenWRT - not sure why anyone would want to use dd-wrt?

I’ve thought about this as well, you could market it to gamers or content creators who care about latency. Nano pi r6s with openwrt and buffer bloat configured for their connection. Nicer/simpler UX on top maybe.

Firewalla did something similar but imo their UX is nice but actual product isn’t great (lots of issues on gigabit links ime, overpriced).

Pi is the "I use arch btw" of harnesses right now.

But I do love it - super customizable, and my token usage seems way more efficient (this is purely vibe based ofc) compared to codex/cc.

I basically just install pi-fabric, pi-blackhole, grill-me and that's it. Tell my AGENTS.md to prefer subagent workflows. Herdr to manage all the terminals. I spend 99% of my professional work in this environment, I can't even remember the last time I had to open vscode/nvim.

Maybe she enjoys it? Kids especially ones leaning ASD tend to have these kind of obsessions. I don't think anyone can force a 6 year old to practice rubik's cube 2 hours a day.

This kind of thing is almost always a result of the performance culture. There are a lot of promo oriented people in big tech who just want money and have no ethics (or engineering competency usually), sadly. These people have no issue at all plagiarising or stealing credit to get themselves more money and success. And it works.

Kind of bizarre tbh, given the software market for VR seems absolutely dead. Announcing it with a 7 year old game is like, what? What's Valve's plan here?

Except far less comfortable and motion sick inducing for a non-trivial portion of the population. No thanks.

HL Alyx was awesome though, nothing else on VR has been worth it for me.

I purge my box every few years. Do you really need 20 usb cables. I do save the esoteric ones though.

Triple fold just seems awkward as heck, plus you have to design the UI for it around the fold section. I’m pretty bullish on the duo design. Hopefully we see some more unique designs in the future if this works out.

What's up with all the negativity? Apple is finally doing something radical (for them) again with the iPhone, their bread and butter. And I'm all here for it. 10 years of the same form factor was getting old. I'm gonna buy this on release, easiest decision ever.
