Were both HN and YC's internal software written in PG's Arc language? If so, will that continue to be the case? If not, what are you using on the back ends?

Hard to imagine that Google isn't going to weigh in soon with its own offering.

It's close to being good, but currently looks to me like a diaper.

Also, I'm interested to hear what you "other reasons" are. Please share.

We could argue about what's a "typical" SaaS monthly fee, but I'm pretty sure your $50/mo is for the SMB/Enterprise space where my $5/mo is for consumer.

Am I the only one who thinks 50 cents per transaction (in addition to the Stripe/Paypal) fees is still an awful lot?

For the typical $5/mo SaaS subscription, that's a full 10% just to pay for your checkout system (not including the payment system).

That said, our team is likely not Snappy Checkout's audience as we're devs who can integrate Stripe/Paypal ourselves.

Apart from Paypal support, what does Snappycheckout provide over just using Stripe directly? And for the extras it does offer, are those likely features on Stripe's roadmap? Just trying to wrap my mind around your service.

There are 22 slides.

It's admittedly terse (it was part of a presentation Ben Adida gave at the first Real World Cryptography workshop).

However, I'd suggest reading the deck again, and while you do asking yourself, does JS crypto provide any security beyond what SSL does? And, can JS crypto make sense as part of a defense in depth/layered security approach?
