Sounds like you wanted to be an electrical engineer but accidentally ended up in computer science.

This is terrible. But, at the same time, why now? This seems like something you'd want to hold onto for use later as a nation state. And there's no money to be made here since you can't really ransom it. Was this just a petty attack to scare the public?

On the bright side I'm sure the manufacturer and others will have an increased security posture going forward.

And now Microsoft Blizzard can't be bothered to make meaningful updates to the once loved RTS. Instead we get a shooter, maybe, in 4 years.

When asked if it's because they are worried it's coming for their jobs she confidently days, "yep".

We already see it doing that. But that's not why it's unpopular. It's unpopular because it's a half-assed rollout that is mandated for use that complicates the job further.

Managers are using AI and proclaiming success like Claude does when it confidently "fixes a bug" but leaves everything else broken.

I like AI. I enjoy using it personally. I even find it helpful at work. But, I hate the way it's being used by most people around me.

I do not work for US Bank.

Uh... Cursor. Windsurf. GitHub copilot, Claude, Devin. There's more. Those are the ones I've used. I mean really used hard. They'll all worth the cost with the exception of Devin - I think it's ahead of it's time for enterprise and overpriced.

Is it similar to gaffer tape? No idea about the show but I can say two things about that for handguns... Aesthetics, and comfort. Some handles can feel uncomfortable, too thin, or rough especially with larger caliber or more kickback.

They compare AI to other software but then say it's different because it can do what a human does. So it should be treated differently than other software in the tax code?

The tax code says you can't capitalize the cost of software because it has immediate value. Not to mention that SaaS billing is the way it is to get around this. People do not have immediate value for R&D so the government allows the cost to be capitalized (ie: deferred over time) to promote hiring more people to help a company grow. If you allow capitalizing AI then you promote the adoption of AI to replace the people for the R&D, the EXACT OPPOSITE of a public policy that exists to promote workers.

What are they even thinking? Certainly not about the reason the policy exists in the first place.

7 billion people in the world. 3,000 billionaires. She won the life lottery and thinks the difference in her success is that she works hard and loves her job. 30 years old.

This is pure propaganda. Just keep working. Feed the rich. You're just lazy.

I'm more likely to end up permanently disabled after being conscripted to war than I am to end up in her shoes. I'm 40. Gen Z is onto something right with work life balance.
