Full screen without having to be a separate window, so cmd+tab works seamlessly. Toggleable transparency.

My wife spends most of her summer 'break' working, including multiple weeks of it being required to be in the classroom or at district offices.

Additionally, during the week, she works waaaay more than 40 hours a week, so even the time during the summer she isn't working I think is really just averaging out from her overtime during the school year.

I wouldn't have a problem with her pay if she actually worked as much as detractors seem to think all teachers do, but her pay:time ratio is awful.

> The "if teachers aren't paid well, why aren't we seeing more of them quit?" is a lousy point. Some jobs are simply more important than others, and its jobs practitioners know that. They are less likely to quit.

They reaaaally like to pull the guilt card every chance they can too. 'Think of the children!', 'If you quit, who will be there for these kids?', etc..

I don't know that removing a lot of the guilt would make teachers quit more, but I do think they would quit bad school environments more in favor of better ones, but they don't want to abandon the kids.

Part of my wife's contract includes wording like 'any duties', so they can add as much arbitrary work as they want

This was great to get an email about since doordash does not let users delete accounts. You can only 'deactivate' in a way that is easy to 'reactivate'. If I would have actually been allowed to delete my account many months ago when I asked maybe I wouldn't have had my information leaked.

The XPS 13 is the worst keyboard I've ever used. It brings me great physical pain to type on it. I had to quit using it as a laptop and exclusively use it with an external keyboard because the finger pain was so great. I know many people (like yourself) don't feel that way, but it was absolutely not acceptable for me.

Thanks to the XPS when I picked out my new laptop keyboard quality/travel was my #1 requirement by a tremendous margin.

No, it's not. This is exactly how I used mine. They weren't hard to write at all because they were just direct notes. It wouldn't run as a program but I didn't need/want it to, I'd just 'edit' the program again to see my notes.

You can do this just as easily as it was to make your original notes

> Every now and then I look at housing costs vs. rental income to consider buying some investment property. But the numbers never work out, I'd always end up loosing money to rent it out.

'Maybe' in the case of buying a new property now to rent. But it's clearly the case for many or there wouldn't be places to rent.

Even if you can avoid too large losses, you can't avoid the possibility of lots of little losses.

See lots of people suggesting random things to learn vim, I'll throw one more on. Just run vimtutor in your terminal. I ran through that two times and felt comfortable enough to switch to it
