That's the same way I got to know everyone I now consider friends and advisors when I moved to San Francisco without knowing anyone. I agree that coffee dates with brutally honest people are the best - they may sting a little but I've learned more from those who don't sugar coat their advice than those who try to spare my feelings.

This is brilliant - i'm in the same boat as your sister and I'm loving the very simple, very encouraging platform they've provided. Perfect for us non-techy people.

I've found this particularly beneficial when having meetings with people who are more successful than you or have wisdom to impart. I try to say very little except things that will goad them on (to talk more) since within each conversation w/ a smart person there is a little nugget of gold that could change your business or life forever - it's just a matter of being quiet enough to hear it.

"His misdeed was to think thoughts that are not allowed to be thought" << could not agree w/ this more, people are WAY too sensitive on both sides & fail to realize what really matters in life (including freedom of thought).

Thanks! Yep, we're up, running & making money - rolling out a biz model change next week which gives us more recurring revenue.

Lol, thank you for being funny :) This thread has brightened my day - and stirred up a serious desire for a pudding cup.

Crap, it's getting more offensive the more you think about it? :(
