Looks like this is the takedown request: https://github.com/github/dmca/blob/master/2020/01/2020-01-2...

The core allegation is:

> Mgp25’s Instagram-API repository (and its forks) offers a tool expressly designed to circumvent the Company’s effective access controls and protection measures by avoiding, bypassing, removing, deactivating, or impairing the Company’s technological measures without the authority of the copyright owners or the Company. Mgp25’s Instagram-API is designed to emulate the official Instagram mobile app when communicating with Instagram’s servers, which allows users of mgp25’s Instagram-API to send and receive data (including receiving legitimate, copyrighted posts by Instagram’s users) through Instagram’s private API. Mgp25’s Instagram-API also permits other types of access to, and collection of, Instagram’s users’ copyrighted works in manners that exceed the scope of access and functionality that would be permitted by a user with a legitimate, authorized Instagram account.

You might want to consider running something like the Raspberry Pi Zero. Looks like the Nano is 45mm x 18mm and the Pi Zero is 65mm x 30mm. If you could fit the Pi Zero it would probably make your life a lot easier.

Have you considered allowing people to "donate" their PACER accounts up to the free limit so that CourtListener could download documents directly without relying on a RECAP or API user to do it? With enough free accounts you might be able to start downloading every document in every case.

I strongly agree. Since Snowden himself is presumably in Russia, the U.S. government is effectively attempting economic sanctions against him. Their method is to scare anyone that might send him money with a lawsuit.

I agree TreasuryDirect is not the best website. No trading on the secondary market either. But it has some nice benefits. It has zero fees lower minimums than other institutions. You can also purchase savings bonds and transfer in existing paper bonds.

Savings bonds are just as secure as US treasury bonds. It's not popular to worry about inflation these days but if you are worried, take a look at Series I savings bonds.

It looks like they had a meeting on June 12, 2018 in Des Moines, Washington (FAA Office?).

Here's a direct link to the "Record of Discussion": https://www.regulations.gov/contentStreamer?documentId=FAA-2...

Unfortunately it doesn't really add any new information.

For those that are interested, here is the FAA's entry in the Federal Register from Boeing's Petition for Exemption: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/03/23/2018-05...

The documents related to that Petition for Exemption can be found on Regulations.gov by searching for Docket ID FAA-2018-0186 https://www.regulations.gov/searchResults?rpp=25&po=0&s=FAA-...

Further discussion from Ryan about this topic in a recent EconTalk podcast:

http://www.econtalk.org/archives/2018/04/ryan_holiday_on_1.h...

The part about interviews vs. auditions is around the 49 minute mark. The entire podcast was fascinating. The topic of the podcast is his recent book about Gawker and Peter Thiel and a broader discussion about "conspiracies".

edit: separate HN thread for this https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17048391

I think you're correct. So my nasty little hack wouldn't work. That's probably a good thing.

I predict that under the proposed minimum version selection system some package will decide it's important and flawless enough that users should always depend on the most recent version. The package will recommend that users depend on version v1.0.0 but the first release will be v1.100.0. Subsequent releases will decrement the minor version to make sure newer releases are selected.
