Yes it's a shame they didn't show examples of how string quoting was causing retries in Powershell vs Bash.

The title of the article is misleading and is the wrong takeaway from the experiment.

So many websites do this, it's basically the norm. On mobile Safari you can use "hide distracting items" to get rid of it.

Alternatively, add and use a "kill sticky" bookmarklet, which is useful in many other situations. You can modify the bookmarklet to re-enable scrolling if that got disabled by a paywall/regwall.

Not intending to nitpick, but it's interesting that Chris Lattner is listed simply as the creator of Swift. I would have thought his work on LLVM and Mojo would have been at least as well known.

I would imagine so, for most developers.

Ironically it's because of AI-coding that I'm spending more time practicing Haskell. And since it's still helpful to read references, I bought this bundle.

I'll take your word on the prices of game bundles since I haven't tracked that.

However I've bought book bundles every year for the past 8 years. In 2018, a full bundle was usually $15, with a suggested price of $25. Starting in 2021, the bundles were bumped up to $18, still suggested at $25 (but O'Reilly bundles cost more).

15+3 is a 20% increase, but is still below retailer's $20 threshold "impulse buy" rule of thumb.

A couple months ago, an electric vehicle caught on fire in a garage a few doors down in San Francisco. It was not charging at the time (4am). No one injured but 3 floors of tenants had to move out. Anecdotal sure, but close to home for me.
