The discussion about Starlink is interesting, but with only ~0.1% of the population having access, the real story is the 99.9% who are cut off right now. The asymmetry between those who can broadcast to the world and those who can't is staggering — and even among that 0.1%, many are too afraid to broadcast anything, knowing the risks.

The paper has a critical statistical flaw buried in the methods: when their gut RNA-seq data showed no significant changes after proper FDR correction for multiple testing, they simply abandoned the correction and used P≤0.01 instead. This is textbook p-hacking.

While the multi-organ approach is interesting, this reads more like a fishing expedition that found patterns in noise rather than robust biological findings.

First author here. We solved a 30-year problem in gene therapy by leveraging neonatal immune tolerance. A single AAV vector injection encoding HIV antibodies achieved 89% success in newborns vs 33% in 2-year-olds, with protection lasting through adolescence. This could transform HIV prevention in regions where maintaining regular medical care is challenging. Happy to answer questions about the science or implications.

Learned it from Magic Eye books too! But using it for spot-the-difference is way more practical - saves so much time compared to staring at two pictures. Kind of feels like having X-ray vision for finding differences
