Hello everyone, I wanted to share this small project that I have.

It's born out of a necessity that I had, because Proton doesn't ship a Linux version of the drive yet (it's apparently coming out later this year but who knows?) and all the current solutions are hacky and wonky at best. But for the time being I really needed to mount my Proton drive on my Linux machine the way I mounted it on my Mac, so I (and my faithful AI slave) did this small utility that allows you to mount your Proton Drive in a FUSE FS like if it is a local folder.

It's fully written in Go because Proton's drive SDK and API libs are all in Go, and there's a community project on top of the reverse engineered proton API there too. I am not a Go developer, I know the foundations, so of course I used AI quite a lot, I am not super proud of it, but I am using it daily and testing it myself for a few months before releasing here.

Hope you like it, feedbacks are welcome, just please be mindful of the person on the other side :)

I asked it to write the initial version and then refined it later on, there was an AI review on it yes, but anyway, hope the point is made

I added that because people started attacking me since it was a bit angrier at first (the angry version was the only one) and they didn't want to send to colleagues or anyone else, just close friends so they asked me to add a smoother version and to say it's a joke

This was actually a small rant from that same day, a colleague had pasted a list of 20 bulletpoints, all of which had some weird stuff in it but overall they were right. This is why I added "Especially the bullets", English is not my main language so I tried to translate myself, but vocabulary sometimes is lacking, sorry about that

I actually wrote it all myself... The original version was the angrier one only, but people complained that it was too angry, so I tried to smooth it out with another version people could use.

Thanks for sharing my little rant again <3 we are looking for translations too!

After reading the comments here I added a "Work-safe" version, along with the angry version so you can send this to your coworker too.

Thanks for the feedbacks!

Thanks for the heads up! I tried the first domain but cloud flare for some reason didn't allow me to purchase it

But now it's done! Both domains now point to the same place :)

I didn't even know this company before this article

Precise argument here

I mean, the idea itself (of having <insert your AI minion here> inside Slack) has crossed my mind multiple times, and I have successfully extract some data using AI from it and it's actually really useful.

But I agree, having Anthropic building this is like having DJI building planes because they know how to create things that fly.
