Yes. Decimal time almost happened in France during the revolution, but fixing all the clocks was impossible so people kept their standard clocks, so they kept the old habit...

My advice in the situation when someone wants to "free RAM": "You bought it, better use it."

It always felt strange that people buy lots of RAM but want it to be kept unused...

I like the simplicity of passwordstore. But keepassx* are good too. I'll never trust an online solution, and probably almost never trust a browser extention.

In someone lands here seeking a maintained compiler for Python, there's a lot, on top of my head:

- Pythran (https://pythran.readthedocs.io) (ahead of time compiler) - mypyc (https://mypyc.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) (ahead of time compiler) - cython (ahead of time compiler) - Numba (JIT) - Pypy (An interpreter doing JIT compiling) - Nuitka (Ahead of time, IIRC)

At this point we should build a "Awesome Python Compilers" repo ... oh wait, it obviously already exists: https://github.com/pfalcon/awesome-python-compilers

It's a good habit which ensures pip runs with the same interpreter as your `python` command.

One example (but there's many): On Windows a `pip install --upgrade pip` can't work as the OS would lock the `pip` executable, while a `python -m pip install --upgrade pip` works as the OS would lock python instead.

I also encontered environments (CI runners, things like this) with `python` and pip installed, installed but no `pip` shortcut.
