It's happening to me with API Key usage. I assume there are no Terms of Use protections on our data unless we access Gemini CLI in a paid manner?

     [API Error: {"error":{"message":"{\n \"error\": {\n \"code\": 429,\n \"message\": \"Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota).\",\n
  \"status\": \"RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED\"\n }\n}\n","code":429,"status":"Too Many Requests"}}]
Please wait and try again later. To increase your limits, request a quota increase through AI Studio, or switch to another /auth method
However, in the Google cloud console I don't see any of the quotas going above their default limits.

Big tech can control the flow of the population to news sites (one of the reasons the two industries often fight each other). Twitter suspended NYPost account for instance. And what if tech and news industries join forces to erase someone they both don't like?

The press conferences require you to go through "the press". If big tech censors press they don't like, then the press conferences will only include journalists approved by big tech.

Tesla from Sept. 20, 2019 to Sept. 20, 2020 revenue is $28.17 B. Ford revenue in the same period was $130.9 B and GM was $115.8 B. 28.17 * 1.5^5 = 213.9. That doesn't even include the inevitable decrease in sales for F and GM if Tesla grows that much.

In the document "GAAP gross profit of $4.1B remained essentially flat in 2019 compared to 2018. Volume growth and successful cost reduction efforts were offset by normalization of ASP, mix shift towards Model 3 and a higher lease mix."

Tesla payed a lot of money (billions) to build the super charger network. Money no government or other company seems to want to spend. Legislating away vendor lock-in would just cause companies to be even more averse to capital investment in recharging infrastructure.

Good thing those companies are private, so that those of us who want to are free to pursue this venture with money earned "saving our planet right now."
