You can filter by job keywords, workplace type (remote, hybrid, onsite) and location (city, state, country, ...). I'm using an LLM to parse the messy location strings in job postings into structured data, which has worked better than I expected. Geocoding is handled by a self-hosted Nominatim instance.
Right now I'm indexing about 350k jobs from Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Workable, so it skews toward tech and startups. Planning to add more sources soon.
It's early and I'm still improving the relevance, but I'd love feedback on whether the results feel more useful than what you're used to.
I only use regexes to extract info. Haven't tried LLMs but that could be useful
First search for the "Who is hiring post?": https://hn.algolia.com/api/v1/search_by_date?query=hiring&re...
Note the ID of the first (latest) post and then get the comments: https://hn.algolia.com/api/v1/items/39562986
If I had to guess what they did was:
user = User.find_by(email: params[:emails])
params[:emails].each { |email| send_recovery_email(user, email) }
Instead of: user = User.find_by(email: params[:emails])
send_recovery_email(user, user.email) if user> The diagnosis here is ego. The thought doesn't even cross their mind that the leadership might be the actual reason, rather than the ICs who really have very little agency.
Do we work for the same company?
