The other variant is "Foo is an alternative to bar". While it could work in the niche you are in and it is totally fine to not target people outside of it, it could be really hard to get into.

Where can I find any discussions on how to actually test the restoration process? How can I verify that I really restored my 10k photos without losing anything?

Found it while researching visualisation tools for python. The plots in the examples look really neat, but the 5000 row limit (https://altair-viz.github.io/user_guide/large_datasets.html) is rather restrictive for some of my use cases, e.g. big interactive time series.

Has anyone on HN used it and found useful? What are the benefits?

Did you write it or did Claude code slopcoded it for you? Claude is the contributor to all your other repositories. There is a world of difference between "here's a problem that I'm really concerned with and poured all my expertise to solve it" and "I told Claude to fix it for me and now I'm gonna abandon it as soon as I'm done with the HN advertising".
