I purposefully didn't include details around this as I didn't want to exclude any options or drive the discussion toward US politics.

I can say my #1 goal is long term security and stability for her. That might be accomplished by amassing a pile of money here, yes. Looking for alternatives for her to use on her own accord, if she desires.

Thank you, I will check that out.

I asked here because I figured I wasn't the only one on this forum that might want to know their options, and that the prevalence of STEM backgrounds and world experiences on here would offer some unique options that wouldn't otherwise be feasible for others.

This worked in 2012 I swear! Oh the shame now however :'(

Thank you! The timing of EVERYTHING was by far the hardest part, as evidenced by your comments, there's something intrinsically familiar about the Tetris (or Breakout or Galaga or etc...) version you are used to. I modeled this one to be closest to the first I played, the 80s GameBoy version.

That said- I've noticed these myself in some form or another. 2 & 3 are related- I need to delay more as the block sits atop a collision. 1 I thought was off but just couldn't justify the time to prove it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Man, has any game been implemented more times than Tetris? It was always one of those things I wanted to do and finally got around to hacking together a javascript version of it a few years ago:

http://cortexture.net/tetris/

I would love to add multiplayer to in someday...

Also, if you haven't read the Kotaku review of "Tetris" (the game in general, not any specific release/platform), it is not only profound but hilarious: https://kotaku.com/tetris-the-kotaku-review-1718328217

> The best-known and best-loved video game ... is not a Skinner box of rewards for players but a bleak encounter with futility ... Tetris ends with certain death. It is a jigsaw puzzle that must be assembled on deadline, yet never can be ... The enemy in Tetris is not some identifiable villain ... but a faceless, ceaseless, reasonless force that threatens constantly to overwhelm you, a churning production of blocks against which your only defense is a repetitive, meaningless sorting. It is bureaucracy in pure form, busywork with no aim or end, impossible to avoid or escape. And the game’s final insult is that it annihilates free will. Despite its obvious futility, somehow we can’t make ourselves stop rotating blocks. Tetris, like all the stupid games it spawned, forces us to choose to punish ourselves.

Doesn't a drive thru also hand you a disposable bag filled with a bunch of other stuff that's about to become trash- napkins, wrappers, straws, etc...? Just toss it in there dude, try not to let it bother you.

Hi all, thanks for checking it out. I like to mess with OpenGL and Three.js in my sparetime, 9 - 5 I'm usually doing web dev. Posting this more for the visualizer but I would love feedback on anything.

I feel like this is solvable using binary to assign which bottles to which prisoners, but only if there were 16 bottles. For example, bottle 11 dec = 1011 bin. So bottle 11 would be tasted by prisoners 1, 3, and 4. Then if 1, 3, and 4 die, we know bottle 11 is poisoned. Every combination of prisoner deaths would point to a unique bottle.

Except 17. Fencepost error on my part maybe?

This should be (and is currently) downvoted but it did make me look up DDG's API.

Hi HN- I wrote this several months back just for fun, trying to emulate the gameplay of the 1989 Gameboy version as much as possible (with the exception of instant drop and the ghost block). Enjoy!

TY, I'll update the readme.md when I get home tonight.

And you are right, it was initially marked as "Won't Fix" because it was not immediately reproducible, but further research yielded it being discovered as an "already fixed" dupe.

FYI it seems there is a minimum age (a minute or so) to a comment in order to reply. At least that was my experience last night.

The dev reached out to me privately, I wouldn't infer anything based on the responses here.

Yes, that's why I feel like this is more significant than a simple crash at first glance- no one would purposefully craft a 256+ unchecked character URL, unless they are being malicious, in which case they absolutely will craft a 256+ unchecked character URL.
