> The number of spoken words uttered by the average person fell by 28% between 2005 and 2019

This effect started well before Airods and even smart phones became ubiquitous. The airpods were released in Dec of 2016. Before Blackberries and Iphones, people on the subway all had daily newspapers in their face. In DC we had a free abridged version called the Express.

So then the person who uses public information is actually the bigger fool than someone who uses no information whatsoever and just picks a side of the bet. If insiders know that a volcano is going to erupt and offers a 50/50 payout, people who know the historical improbability will bet that is will NOT erupt, thinking it is an easy payout. But there will be some idiots out there that bet that it will erupt based on dumb luck.

Isn't there a 50% chance you are betting on the "insider" side of it?

I work with an Oracle database like this. In the old days, there was a 30 character limit on column names, so you end up with conventions like no vowels. The limit no longer exists today, but the DBA continues to enforce the limit on new columns.

Our plugin hybrid has both a gas side on the left and electric side on the right. The electric side on the right is helpful in the US to allow parking curbside and charging the vehicle.

If you look at the chart at the bottom comparing Dec 99 to today....

> during the internet bubble of 1998-2000, the p/e ratios were much higher

That is true, the current players are more profitable, but the weight in SPX percentages looks to be much higher today.

Thanks. Updated link to the home page. Didn't realize my SPA generated Urls don't work. Sigh.

If you include local governments, then the education spending percentage gets higher, but still nothing close to healthcare.

This sets up the other quote from the movie: Michael Burry: “I may be early but I’m not wrong”. Investor guy: “It’s the same thing! It's the same thing, Mike!”
