You're right, I was too enthusiastic… Let's hope they will all be there soon!

The PR with the update is here: https://github.com/docker-library/php/pull/1694

Looks like we need to be patient:

> Why is this not merged yet?

> I'm not a maintainer and can not merge this. Please wait until a maintainer has come around to look into this.

> This is merged, but I cannot find the image?

> After this PR has been merged, more steps are to be taken, including an upstream merge on docker-library/official-images and subsequent image builds. For a full description of the timeline, please refer to docker-library/faq#an-images-source-changed-in-git-now-what.

I happened to want to order something there last Sunday. While digging into it, I notice that their closure seemed to be implemented only on the frontend using JS. By disabling some scripts, I was able to add products to my cart, which normally isn't possible on Sundays.

In the end, I didn't proceed to place my order on Sunday. It felt a bit disrespectful, and it was already late. (So I ordered half an hour later, which was technically Monday.)

Late reply — my Hacker News reading app doesn’t give alerts on replies.

You’re right, I don’t have an inner monologue.

Only when I think about words or text literally, like when formulating this reply, I ‘sense’ the words that I come up with. Though I don’t ‘hear’ them.

I also have aphantasia. I can’t mentally ‘see’ things when I imagine them. I can ‘sense’ them, just like the words I formulate. It’s as if I know the thing I imagine is there, but it’s behind a blackout curtain.

Interesting topics! How little we still know about our own brain. And how different our brains seem to work.

I feel the same. I also really liked the text input. The suggestions and autocomplete where also easy to use. And the block-based approach, with easy copying and sharing (through a URL), were super useful at times.

And for the AI part, the AI command generation (from plain text) was great. Also the follow-up command suggestions were handy sometimes.

Too bad Warp entered enshittification (already some time ago). Any (open source) alternatives for the good parts?

> Can't you type faster than you speak? Doesn't your speaking inhibit your thinking?

For me personally: no, I speak faster than I type; and speaking actually helps me get more ideas compared to typing.

(Not sure if that’s due to having no typing speed barrier, or maybe because speaking activates different parts of the brain.)

Once you get over the feeling of self-consciousness, it’s a great way. I even go on short walks sometimes and mumble to my phone to prepare some long prompt. Thinking works even better, when walking outside :-)

A fun benefit seems to be that you can select the QR code as text and copy it, which puts the original text in your clipboard.

Cool app! Have you considered integrating with Readwise Reader? I would love something like that.

> There's also the matter that, ethically, openprovider seems to be heavily focusing on domain name speculators as clients

Do you have more info about that? I'm a customer of them and didn't know this.

I actually noticed that quite a lot of (smaller) hosting providers are also customers of Openprovider. (When transferring some domains from other providers to my account as Openprovider, they turned out to be internal transfers.) So I'm a bit surprised about it.

Agree! If you have a number of domains and can justify a membership, they Openprovider (NL) is a good option.

Some foreign extensions are quite expensive though. I happened to be looking into that yesterday, and Netim (FR) seems to be a good option for that. For the two extensions I need, they were among the cheapest with renewals.

I’ve been using one for over five years, exclusively with MacBooks which were always powered by the display. I haven’t had any issues with mine. (Except maybe once last year, when it wouldn’t turn on. I had to unplug the display from the power and plug it back in.)
