I built the Cloudflare WAF Rule Generator (https://alivecheck.io/waf-generator) to make WAF rules less of a headache, and you all ran with it—over 900 rules generated in 7 days! Based on that, I added a template library with free, pre-made rules for WordPress, Node.js, Flask, Django, database servers, and more. “Magic” mode’s smarter now too, and I’m experimenting with code scanning to auto-suggest rules for API endpoints. Still free, no signups. Thoughts? What WAF pain points should I tackle next?

I got annoyed tweaking Cloudflare WAF rules—too many typos, wrong fields, and accidentally blocking legit traffic while chasing bots. So I threw together a tool over a weekend to make it brain-dead simple: the Cloudflare WAF Rule Generator (https://alivecheck.io/waf-generator).

It’s got two modes:

AI-driven: Type “block requests from Russia” or “stop SQL injection attempts,” and it spits out a clean rule. No docs diving required. Manual builder: Dropdowns for fields (ip.src.country, http.request.method), operators (regex, equals, etc.), and values. Real-time rule generation. You can copy rules with one click or save them with metadata. It’s free, no login nonsense. I’ve been using it to lock down endpoints and kill bot traffic without the usual trial-and-error pain.

Thoughts? Anyone else wrestle with WAF syntax enough to build their own fix? Open to feature ideas—I’m still iterating.

If you've ever had a critical cron job silently fail without realizing it until it was too late, you're not alone. Logs can be a pain to check, and traditional monitoring tools often feel like overkill for something as simple as "Did my script run?" That's why we built KeepAlive.io, a dead-simple way to track and monitor scheduled tasks.

How It Works

Add a Webhook – We'll give you a unique URL to ping.

Make a GET Request – Every time your cron job or script runs successfully, just send a GET request to your Webhook.

Set Your Schedule – Let us know how often your job should run (e.g., every hour, daily, etc.).

Get Notified – If we don’t hear from your job on time, we’ll notify you via email, Slack, or other integrations.

Why This Matters

Instant Feedback – Know immediately when something is off instead of realizing days later.

No More Guessing – Logs and manual checks? Forget them. If your job is silent, we’ll be loud.

Peace of Mind – Even for personal projects, getting alerts before a small issue turns into a disaster is invaluable.

Who Is This For?

Developers with scheduled tasks running on servers

Data engineers managing ETL jobs

DevOps teams handling automation scripts

Anyone tired of wondering, "Did my script actually run?"

built SubjectSensei (https://subjectsensei.com) to solve my own problems with cold emailing and business development. As someone with minimal coding experience, I wanted to share how AI coding assistants enabled me to build a fully-featured SaaS product and what I learned along the way.

What it does:

Analyzes email content for clarity, persuasion, readability, CTA effectiveness, and tone Generates and A/B tests email subject lines using LLM optimization Researches target companies (via Perplexity API) for personalized outreach Analyzes technology stacks for better prospect targeting Personalizes email templates based on company research Technical stack:

Flask backend with RESTful API endpoints Supabase for authentication and database Integration with multiple AI providers (OpenAI, Perplexity, Llama models) Lemon Squeezy for subscription management Usage tracking and multi-tier access controls Engineering challenges I solved:

Building a prompt engineering system that consistently delivers structured JSON from different LLM APIs Implementing citation tracking for company research to maintain information accuracy Creating a usage tracking system that enforces limits based on subscription tiers Building a secure authentication flow with Supabase What I learned:

How to effectively use AI coding assistants to build beyond my skill level The importance of API abstraction layers when working with multiple LLM providers How to implement proper error handling for LLM responses Building secure authentication systems Monetizing a product from day one I'm happy to answer any questions about the technical implementation, how I used AI to help me build it, or my experience creating a SaaS product as a non-developer.
