The problem is, that you can never be quite sure which 20% to keep and which 80% to fire.

Big budgets allowed companies to play it safe. Not anymore, it seems.

It took me a long time to understand why we write academic articles like we do. But reading classic articles like this one really puts it into perspective for me. It is a clean and simple way to preserve knowledge over decades. Something that no blog or wiki page could guarantee.

I've built a website to visualize international conflicts on a map. It might help you to follow the on-going war in Ukraine, as the timeline and geographical context is getting more and more complex.
