First off, very cool project and great article showcasing it! Why does it also have MIDI?

Where is the city of Dinipro from? It's not one of the 55 from this book and I can't find anything about what you're describing on the internet.

AI obviously.

It's basically a derogatory term for AI. I've seen it used the same way a slur would be used to berate a person.

Also of every request you send with your language's request library if you use default settings. And they can do it without you being able to detect it.

Depends on what your metric is. If you care about profitability it could turn out to be the least successful product of all time.

Wow, embark is very well done! I feel like there is some sort of solution space between notes, whiteboards, jupyter notebooks and Arcan FE that could make knowledge organization much easier, but it's such a huge space to even comprehend in the first place I can only ever hold part of the solution in my head.

Have you played the arcade game in the letter C yet? If not, then you've probably missed other stuff as well.

What do you mean by that? To me it seems like every single letter is pretty much hand-written and attributed to one or two team members.

I wholeheartedly agree with your comment and have thought a lot about how I would solve these problems. Considered founding a startup as well, but the market size is very unclear. I would say in theory, cloud-in-a-bottle already comes quite far. The only thing missing is another tier where imbue only provides you with a domain and a reverse-proxy so your home-server is reachable. Of course, their software would then also habe to manage the whole certificate lifecycle and DNS-challenge, but if it did, then you can have your server at home and not have to worry about how it manages to be reachable from the internet.

However, if I'm understanding you correctly, a solution like this would also be too much vendor lock-in for you, correct? If so, how independent do you wanna go? I think especially if you want people to be able to self-host from home, you will always need some proxy in the cloud. Or are you considering a DDNS setup?

Hmm, I agree that the problems are real and very relevant and anadu intended to offer a solution. But it was simply never finished enough to actually solve them.

100% agree. The mac mini was offered with 8GB for some time as well, and when my dad needed a new desktop, I thought that would be a good option. It was basically unusable. Even when you only have a few finder windows and a few (less than 5) tabs in safari open, you can feel the swap slowing down the system; just opening a folder or a new tab is noticeably slow, opening safari itself takes multiple seconds, and with just that basic usage you can run into the out-of-memory dialogue, something I had never seen before in macOS.

I have no idea how apple can believe that the neo won't damage their brand reputation. They must have optimized something to make 8GB viable.

This is fascinating. I scrolled through that page and immediately felt like something was marketed to me. I actively hated reading this because it felt so much like the tech company's buzzword-filled landing pages that I have come to despise over the course of my career.

But giving the paper to Claude and having a dialogue about it was a very pleasant experience because I could ask questions to focus on the parts that seemed most interesting to me.

Anything particular about perplexity that helps you replace web search, or do you mean any LLM-Chat with access to web sources would suffice?
