> I've been using DuckDuckGo's NoAI version as a fallback, and I've had great results so far; brings me back to the web I remembered growing up -- personal blogs, random forum discussions, and whatnot -- with just a fraction of the page bloat.

Honestly I don't believe you, despite the desire to. IME, DDG results are even worse than Google's; I've had queries that returned enough AI generated blog spam (and I mean utterly worthless borderline nonsensical drivel) to fill the entire first page of results. Not one organic result.

Short and sweet. It's excellent that no data was lost as, smuttiness aside, AO3 has to be one of those digital Library of Alexandrias akin to Wikipedia and Stack Exchange; a highly concentrated collection of art created simply out of passion.

I do hope we get a write up.

> most of the ADHD generation with depressions, self-identification problems that we see today is exactly because tech made them this way..

Are you suggesting ADHD is something you can "get"?

nta but yes your spirit reading is correct. They're saying OpenBSD treats the version number as an integer, and every update adds .1. So 7.8 -> 7.9 -> 8.0, regardless of how significant or breaking the changes are.

They value freedom of speech as much as freedom of association. Nothing wrong with that.

So it's not feasible to fiddle with incoming firmware updates, even with the level of access Relapse gives? I couldn't imagine how such a thing would be implemented. A hypervisor?

This was my initial thought and a sentiment I've seen expressed elsewhere, but I think I'm missing something about how they'd implement this.

Sure, Rockstar can enforce a minimum software revision to launch the game, but couldn't some homebrew software just (a) lie about the software revision to any running game, or (b) apply any relevant software updates minus patching the kernel vuln?

It seems to me that the cat's out the bag now.

I'm not sure I understand the "minimal"/"small core" branding Pi is using. It's 450,000 SLOC and has at least a dozen direct dependencies, which I'm sure explodes into hundreds of indirect ones. It also depends on NodeJS/NPM.
