I can't afford to go to restaurants. I pay too much in my tips to my landlord.

I'm not trying to "stick it to the man" or imply the server is bad at their job. I'm paying the agreed upon price. If servers need to be paid more to do their job they can demand more in wages, and the prices can raise to account for that.

Try to have some self esteem. If you don't feel like you can stand up for yourself feel free to give them a 100% tip or whatever, maybe they'll cheer for you as you leave. Perhaps other people watching will join in.

Again, your compensation is between you and your employer. If I don't tip, perhaps your employer should be paying you more. Raise the prices to account for this.

In any sense optional? What about the literal sense? If you're not comfortable with _that_ arrangement, stop making it optional.

The only people stiffing service staff on their compensation is their employer shrugging their shoulders and not pricing the server's labour correctly. Your compensation agreement is between you and your employer, I'm here to pay for goods/services in exchange for the amount of money that we agreed on.

It's just not really my problem, and getting openly angry at me means you're the asshole, sorry.

You aren't in the right for being "openly angry" at a customer who doesn't voluntarily pay an optional tip. Either raise the prices and pay your servers more, or shut the fuck up about it (the angry people, I mean).

For sure, and for that reason I mean to say that I wouldn't feel great as a manager/executive/etc either.

Maybe I just lack imagination, but I don't really know how jobs are supposed to solidify around the role of giving prompts to agents and then looking at the results. I mean, engineers will be in the breadline because their role was simply to prompt the agents.. only to be superseded by managers or executives who no longer manage engineers but themselves prompt the agents? And, for this previously considered obsolete function which they do presumably by copy/pasting requirements from their email inbox, they will be paid by someone who doesn't know that they could just be talking to their own agents?

Sorry if I misunderstand the point, just trying to understand.

If it's samey regardless of language, isn't that in contradiction to your original theory? " .. the most important feature for agent performance is the popularity of the language .. "

POGOs are criminalized and often operated by illegal immigrant Chinese people, it's not really representative. At least that's my understanding having lived in Manila for a few years.

That's across 64 concurrent streams; you could make more concurrent requests to DeepSeek API no?

After using a tiling WM, it feels like this is a window manager job. It even works for non-terminal applications.

> Call me aged out but im not so sure that your vibe coded app or that tik tok upload is gonna hit the same in 5080.

This is true of almost anything: past, present, or future. Most of everything is shit.

Isn't that "more standard C" because it's written by Claude?

I mean, we view social networks as having network effects that keep people there. The same force that stops people from switching from Facebook and TikTok prevents people from abandoning social media altogether. Waiting for all the adults to be responsible and forward thinking seems a little far fetched.
