There is a freemium service called Write.as [0]. It might not be the exactly same kind of thing as Medium, but, personally, I appreciate its ultra-simplicity. Since I have never went as far as starting my own blog, I occasionally host text content there that I want to share.

Watching motion pictures in the original English with or without English subtitles.

I disagree. Paraphrasing filmmaker James Gray: "To say people want to see trash is totally elitist. If you feed people McDonald's every day for years and then give them sushi, there ain't no way they're going to say 'give me more of that wasabi, please'. No, they're going to say 'what the hell is this crap?'.

I personally agree with this. One piece of evidence is that thinking adults do go see Marvel movies instead of the Scorsese/Fellini/Antonioni/James Gray/Coppola/Fincher/etc. feature, when those are not options.

There is supposed to be a rectangle simply transitioning between black and white. Did you see this?

Then again, it seems to me that if someone really wants to hack you, they can, no?

The moment when you were sure it should be over will look strange in retrospect, and you will be most grateful for even little things you decided to stay around for: the first day of summer, what happens in the new episode of Empire, etc.

Once you get out of there, you might think you would even want to live your life locked inside an empty room for the rest of your life, because even that might be infinitely better and more worthwhile than not living at all.

Best wishes.
