I can't believe this is the top comment on hacker news. Some of the replies are already covered but as much as I use my Android phone and Microsoft at work, I have never had anything other than Outlook 365 on Android. How is Google going to "literally destroy Microsoft"?

And then there's no need to comment on the Apple portion in your comment, considering the critique is that Microsoft isn't playing nice because they try to default to Edge.

Elon Musk has been gaslighting as an "enlightened centrist" who happens to have rightwing views for years, I knew from the day he bought Twitter that his goal was to control digital media for the right.

This topic is a joke, since when does Hacker News consist of posters who don't understand the concept of a Grand Jury?

Thanks for your curious conversation. This is what Hacker News is all about.

Weak consequences doesn't mean legal. One state investigation has no impact on the others.

They're separate investigations. I am sad that I'm on Hacker News right now. This is not more "curious" conversation than anything you find on Fox or MSN.

Their market cap increased like 10-20X due to covid and zero interest rates, now they have just contracted. I wouldn't read too much into this.

I agree that Google of all big tech has the most to lose in the future regarding their internet search ad business, but Roku having ads and giving advertisers data makes a lot of sense for them.

Right now everything is in such a grey area that we could take this discussion in so many ways. Writing it off because it doesn't mean what it says misses the point, in my opinion, the point is that anyone who knows how to write the correct questions can work with ChatGPT to develop things things they couldn't before, improve their own writings, and potentially replace their need to consult others, for a quick list.

You are the one saying that belief behind the writing matters. What if the audience decides to upvote ChatGPT instead of you? Who says conviction is essential?

I would also contest you by suggesting that the fearful ones are the one's who find a need to downplay the threat, or we can rephrase it, advanced usefulness of current, let alone near-future versions.

And I realize ChatGPT could have written this post quicker than I did, including a version that contains my typo patterns, as well as a more concise and grammatically improved version...

I'm not happy to say this, but to these kinds of posts I say the truth:

An old version of ChatGPT could have written a better version of your post than you in 2-5 seconds.

>I fail to see the nuance.

Then Reddit is that way. ---->

>I, being the greatest armchair expert in human behavior I know, say it will destroy democracy as we know it.

What's left of it after social media?

Thank you for sharing your personal anecdotes and opinions. However true they may be, I'm kinda concerned that this sort of post is at the top of a highly commented Hacker News thread.
